Sight-Word Spaced Repetition

A real SM-2 algorithm (the same family Anki uses) tracks every word your child sees and brings the hard ones back sooner. Progress is saved in your browser's localStorage — never sent anywhere. Preset lists: Dolch Pre-K, Dolch K, Fry first 100.

How the algorithm works

Each word has an ease factor and an interval. A "Don't know" resets it to 1 day with a low ease. A "Good" multiplies the interval by the ease. A "Hard" mostly holds the interval. "Easy" grows it faster. Words you've never seen are scheduled for today; words you know are spaced out to weeks.

Limits: Spaced repetition helps memory; it doesn't teach the word the first time. Pair with a reading book or phonics session.
